BIO
During the last six years I have exclusively devoted my practice to serving as a mediator, arbitrator, and neutral evaluator. During the preceding thirty seven years I was a civil trial lawyer. Since commencing an ADR practice I have mediated over one thousand cases. I have an A.B. degree from Stanford University. After serving as a Captain in the U. S. Marine Corps I attended Stanford Law School and graduated with a J.D. degree. I was admitted to the California Bar in 1960. I have an A.V. Martindale & Hubbell rating (an independent company which evaluates lawyers and law firms throughout the country; this rating is only given to the top 5%, based upon integrity, achievement and reputation). I have over one hundred hours of mediation training. Periodically, over the years, I have served in Alameda County as a Judge Pro Tem.
